A Five-Minute Boost Of Hope And Song
The morning can feel rushed, noisy, and full of what-ifs—so we pressed pause for five minutes to reframe the week with a story, a song, and a promise you can hold. We start with a vivid memory from Chuck Swindoll’s seminary days: a sweltering Dallas apartment, a quiet decision to keep a need between two people and God, and an unexpected phone call that delivered a nearly new air conditioner right when it was needed most. It’s ordinary and miraculous in the same breath—a living snapshot of provision that doesn’t always arrive on our schedule but often lands in a way that teaches us how to trust.
From there we put a spotlight on We the Kingdom’s “Won’t He Do It,” a song that captures the tension of not seeing the next step and choosing to look up anyway. The band calls the track one of their favorites to play live for a reason: it’s ridiculously fun and deeply grounding, turning a Monday morning into a moment of joy and expectation.
If you’re ready to trade worry for expectancy, press play, grab the song link in the notes, and let this five-minute reset guide your week. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs a lift, and leave a quick review to help others find a hopeful start to their morning. Where do you need God to come through today?

Good morning and welcome to Starting Right with Danny Mack. I'm going to be here every Monday to Friday to help you get a great five-minute start to your day. So grab your cup of coffee, sit back, relax, and let me help you start your day right. Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Music Monday. And today to help you start off your week, I want to remind all of us that we have a God who is faithful and powerful and loves us. And today's song from We the Kingdom talks about all of those things and a very fun song called Won't He Do It. And before we talk a little bit more about the song, let me share with you a wonderful story of faith and how God answered prayer from Chuck Swindahl. He tells it like this We were in seminary in Dallas in 1959, and boy, it was hot. Cynthia and I said we really need an air conditioner since we didn't have one in our very tiny apartment. So I said to Cynthia, I'll tell you what, let's not tell anybody about our need. Let's just pray. I guess you do a lot of strange things like that when you're in seminary, you know. You just trust God and you don't say anything to anybody, and so we did that. Winter passed, spring came, still praying. We went home for a quick visit in Houston. We were staying with our folks, and and out of the clear blue, a phone call came from a guy who lived across town who we had known years before. He said, Chuck, uh we got an air conditioner. It's it's almost new. Could you use it? My thoughts were immediately wow, walk around a wall six times and then seven times is it really impossible? It's true. There is absolutely nothing impossible with God. He brought the air conditioner over, we put it in our trunk, and we took it back to Dallas. We stuck it in the window and it worked all through those four years we were there. It was fantastic. An impossible situation which we didn't announce and God met it in an impossible way. Just like God told Joshua to take Jericho. Faith would win the victory. And there's the tie to today's song. Faith wins the victory, believing that God is able and willing and even wanting to do the miraculous things in our lives. Today's song is called Won't He Do It? And the song asks that question and then it answers it. The lyrics say won't he do it? Yes he will. When I can't see in front of me and I don't know what to do, I lift my head and remember that my God will come through. Of course God will come through. He is our miracle working God. They have said it's hands down one of our favorite songs that we've ever recorded, and it's been ridiculously fun playing it live on tour. God has been rocking our worlds doing some really beautiful things, and we're excited about this new season of music. And we hope this song reminds you of God's faithfulness. And even in the midst of all the hard stuff in life, sometimes you just gotta throw down and dance like David and believe that God will do what he said he would do. Hebrews ten twenty-three tells us let us hold firmly to the hope that we have confessed, because we can trust God to do what he promised. So here's a short clip of Won't He Do It by We the Kingdom. And in your show notes there will be the YouTube link where you can click on it or cut and paste it and go and listen to the whole song. It is fun, you will enjoy it, and it is a powerful reminder of God's love and his promises to you and me. Here's We the Kingdom with Won't He Do It
