Good morning and welcome to Starting Right with Danny Mack. I'm going to be here every Monday to Friday to help you get a great five-minute start to your day. So grab your cup of coffee, sit back, relax, and let me help you start your day right. Hey, good morning everyone, welcome. Today I want to start by sharing with you Proverbs chapter three, verses five and six. It's a verse you all have heard many times before, I'm sure. It says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. This is a very well known verse, and it's a very important verse, because it reminds us that when we let God be in control, it will completely shift our perspective and help to give us a sense of peace when we're going through uncertainties. I recently received part of an article that talks about what it means to have God in control. I don't even know who wrote this article. It was copied out and sent to me, and so I don't know who to give credit to it, but it's really good, and I want to share it with you this morning. Number one, happiness is not the absence of problems, it's the ability to deal with them. I love that. When we learn to have God's strength to deal with our problems, it changes our perspective. Number two, feeling sad after making a decision doesn't mean it was the wrong decision. That's where faith comes in. When we know we're doing what's right according to God's word, we don't need to feel worried or depressed about it. Number three, the lesson you struggle with the most will repeat until you learn from it. I can relate to that one. We all struggle with things in our lives. In fact, the Bible tells us that we will. But it also tells us that when we learn, when we grow, and we let God give us the strength and wisdom we need, we will overcome our struggles. Number four, you're not stressed because you're doing too much, you're stressed because you're not doing what makes you feel most alive. And what makes us feel most alive? Well, Jesus gave us that answer when he said that I have come that you might have life and have it to the full. In other words, if we're truly living the life that God has for us, it will be a life that is full and exciting, and we will enjoy it even when things get tough. God invites us to be so confident in him and in his plan that we don't get upset when things go wrong. Number five is one of my favorites. It says, Never regret a day in your life. Good days give happiness, bad days give experience. The worst days give lessons, and the best days give memories. When we truly understand that God is in control, we can know that whatever happens, whether it's good or it's bad, there's always something positive for us that can come out of it, and God has always promised to be there with us as we're going through it. One of the real powers of God's work in our lives is that while we can't go back and change our beginning, with His grace and mercy, we can change the ending. We can become more and more of what He wants us to be. Two final statements about our lives. The strongest people are not those who show strength in front of us, but those who win battles that we know nothing about, those battles deep within us where God's grace and mercy is essential. And then the last one every next level of your life will demand a different version of you, and God already knows what that version of you needs to be, and he's helping you to get there. Truly understanding and believing that God is in control of our lives can dramatically change our perspectives. As we read His Word and let His Spirit guide us, we become less stressed about the things that are happening around us because we know that the peace and love and the power of God within us is greater than anything that is outside and around us. It really does make a difference when we stop trying to control everything, we acknowledge that God is in control and we submit to him to face all of those challenges in our lives. And that's exactly what he wants to do for us. I hope you have a great day, my friends. Trust God. Take care, my friends, and we will talk again tomorrow. Thank you for joining us today, and I invite you to join us every Monday to Friday, right here at Starting Right with Danny Mack.
